Create a free QR code that never expires

Link, text, Wi-Fi access or contact card: your QR code is made in your browser and holds your information directly. It goes through no server, and nobody can ever switch it off.

Your information never leaves your device. Everything happens in your browser: it is not sent to us or to anyone else. Check it yourself.

Your QR code will appear here.

The trap of QR codes that stop working

Many online generators make so-called dynamic QR codes: instead of your link, the code holds the address of their server, which then redirects to you. That is what lets them count scans. It is also what lets them cut the service off at the end of a trial period: posters, business cards and menus already printed no longer lead anywhere.

The QR codes made here are static: they hold your link, your text or your contact directly. No middleman, nothing to renew. They will work for as long as the link they carry exists. The trade-off is simple: their content cannot be changed once printed, and they do not count scans.

The Wi-Fi QR code, for your guests

Stuck up in the hallway, on the fridge or at a shop counter, it lets people join the Wi-Fi by scanning the code with their camera, without typing the password. iPhones and recent Android phones recognise it directly.

One precaution: the password is written inside the QR code. Anyone who photographs the code can read it. For a shop or a holiday rental, display the code of your router's guest network instead, kept apart from your computers.

And to keep your documents somewhere safe?

These tools are free and will stay free. Our trade is hosting files, photos and e-mail on our own servers, in Frontenex, Savoie, France: not with an American giant, not with a rented host. When you call, the person who runs the machines is the one who answers.

The free plan gives you 5 GB of storage and an e-mail address, with no credit card.

Frequently asked questions

Will my QR code expire?

No. It holds your link or your text directly, without going through any server: nobody can switch it off. It will work for as long as the link it carries exists.

Can I change the link after printing the QR code?

No, that is the trade-off of a static QR code: its content is fixed once and for all. If the link might change, point the QR code at a page on your own website, whose content you can change whenever you like.

Can I use these QR codes for my business?

Yes, freely, including on sales documents, packaging or posters. They belong to you, with no credit to add.

Which format should I download?

PNG suits a document, an e-mail or a website. SVG suits printing and layout software: it scales up without ever going blurry.

Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The QR code is made in your browser, on your device. Nothing you type is sent or stored.
