What is the recovery sheet for, and where should I keep it?

The recovery sheet is the only document that lets you get your passwords back if you lose all your devices.

What you need to know

  1. At the top it says « DOCUMENT À CONSERVER » (DOCUMENT TO KEEP). It contains a code made of 7 groups of 4 characters, and a QR code.

  2. Keep it with your important papers, away from prying eyes.

  3. Don’t take a photo of it, and don’t store it in your Cloud or in your e-mails: with it and your account password, someone could open your vault.

  4. It is used to link a new computer when you no longer have any of your devices at hand.
