How do I forward my Free mail to ArkiaMail?

Free’s official help, which we have read, doesn’t explain any automatic forwarding for @free.fr addresses. Here’s what you can do.

What you can do

  1. Look in your Free webmail settings to see whether it offers forwarding. Free doesn’t describe it in its help, so we can’t guide you more precisely.

  2. Otherwise, the Free mailbox can be read remotely (Free gives its server, imap.free.fr). To copy your old e-mails into ArkiaMail, do it yourself in the app: Paramètres (Settings) (on a phone, Réglages (Settings)), Messagerie (Mail), Récupérer mes anciens mails (Bring over my old e-mails). Step by step.

  3. Tell your contacts your new address, and keep the Free mailbox open until everyone knows it.
