How do I forward my Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live mail to ArkiaMail?

Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live addresses are set up on the Outlook.com website, in the mail settings.

Step by step

  1. Open Outlook.com in a web browser and sign in.

  2. At the top of the page, click Paramètres (Settings).

  3. Open Courrier (Mail), then Transfert et IMAP (Forwarding and IMAP). If Outlook asks you to sign in again, do it: the forwarding settings only appear after that.

  4. Choose Activer le transfert (Enable forwarding), type your ArkiaMail address, then click Enregistrer (Save).

  5. Check that it works: from another address (a relative’s, for example), send an e-mail to your old address. It should arrive in your ArkiaMail mailbox, in ArkiaSuite.

Good to know

  • To stop: same path, Désactiver le transfert (Disable forwarding), then Enregistrer (Save).
  • A Microsoft 365 work address is set up differently: see Microsoft 365.
  • Your old Outlook or Hotmail e-mails: Microsoft refuses passwords from mail programs, so ArkiaSuite cannot copy them. On a computer, Thunderbird does it, step by step.
