How do I set up an out-of-office message while I’m on vacation?

While you’re on vacation, everyone who writes to you gets a short message right away, once a day at most. The server replies even when your computer is off.

Step by step

  1. Click Paramètres (Settings), at the bottom of the left column, then Messagerie (Mail).

  2. Scroll down to « Réponse automatique » (Automatic reply). Each mailbox has its own.

  3. Choose the dates: Du (From) (left empty: starting now) and Au (To) (the last day, included).

  4. Fill in Objet de la réponse (Reply subject) (“Away until November 2”) and Message (who to contact in an emergency…).

  5. Click Activer la réponse automatique (Turn on automatic reply). The mailbox’s switch changes to « Activée » (On).

Good to know

  • After changing the text of a reply that is already on, click Enregistrer les changements (Save changes).
