How do I read my mail without Internet?

ArkiaSuite can keep an encrypted copy of your recent mail on your computer: it opens faster, even with no network (on the train, during an Internet outage).

Step by step

  1. Click Paramètres (Settings), then Messagerie (Mail).

  2. Under « Mails gardés sur ce PC » (Mail kept on this PC), turn on Garder une copie sur ce PC (Keep a copy on this PC).

  3. For each mailbox, choose how long to keep mail: 1 mois (1 month), 3 mois (3 months), 6 mois (6 months), 1 an (1 year) or Tous les mails (All mail). ArkiaSuite tells you how much space it will take: click Appliquer (Apply).

  4. The copy is made on its own, in the background.

Good to know

  • The server remains the reference: nothing kept on the PC can erase an email on the server.
  • Vider le cache (Clear cache) erases the copy on the PC (not the mail on the server).
  • Only in the app installed on the computer.
