How do I find a message?

Type a word, a name or an address: the list keeps only the messages that mention it.

The demonstration (15 seconds), without sound: read the captions under the picture (in French, like the app). The people and addresses are made up.

Step by step

  1. Open the folder to search in, for example the Boîte de réception (Inbox).

  2. Click in the Rechercher dans ce dossier (Search this folder) box, above the list.

  3. Type a word from the message, the sender’s name or a word from the subject. The list updates.

  4. To go faster, use the filters just below: Non lus (Unread), Favoris (Favorites) (starred messages), Pièces jointes (Attachments). Tous (All) shows everything again.

Good to know

  • The search asks the server: it also finds older messages, not just the ones shown.
  • To search everywhere at once (messages, files, contacts), use the main search.
